Obama Campaigns in Leesburg, Va.

This week, I went out to see Sen. Obama at a rally in Leesburg, Va. in Loudoun County. In reference to the remarks made Saturday by McCain campaign advisor Nancy Pfotenhauer implying that Northern Virginia wasn’t “Real Virginia,” Obama said, “I know some folks may not think so, but this looks like real Virginia to me. This looks like authentic Virginia and you look like real Virginians.”

What struck me about the rally was the large number of young people in attendance and the great diversity of the crowd. That, and that the crowd of 35,000 was very diverse. And folks, that’s “Real Virginia.”
