This is too rich.
I’m just reading through some of the various political sites which cover Virginia politics and it turns out that Jeff Frederick has announced that he is not running for re-election to his seat in the Virginia House of Delegates. In the same breath, he recommends his wife Amy Frederick as his replacement.
What is this Alabama? Louisiana?
She’s already set up an exploratory website called Draft Amy. It’s a curious name for the site because the actual URL is www.voteamy.com. Furthermore, Jeff Frederick’s campaign site, www.votejeff.com now redirects traffic to the Draft Amy site.
My head is spinning.
As for Jeff “I tweeted the GOP Senate Majority Away” Frederick, in an email to supporters today, he said that he is keeping a promise he made to Virginia’s Republicans that if they would elect him their chairman, he would not run for re-election in the Fall.
Now some have said the promise he made was to immediately resign his Delegate’s position if he were to be elected Chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia.
Whatever.
This is the dude who compared President Obama to Osama bin Laden during the 2008 campaign.
And just yesterday, he gave a laughable speech on the floor of the House of Delegates which was so bad, it earned him a “Worst Person in the World” award from Countdown with Keith Olbermann tonight. Check it out.
In my view, Amy Frederick can’t be any worse, but if she’s being recommended by him, I’m concerned.
