Remembering Clinton’s Laws of Politics

This is what it’s come to.

Today the Washington Post reports that vandals have spray-painted anti-McCain graffiti on homes in Prince William Co., Va. and in Montgomery Co., Md., vandals turned Obama signs into Osama signs in an apparent reference to Osama bin Laden.

This kind of ugliness has no place in American politics. But ask yourself, who is responsible for bringing these genies out of the bottle: the guy who wants to bring people to together or the guy who is trying to scare us and divide us?

Earlier during the Democratic primary, a video made the rounds of YouTube which seems more relevant now than it did in the primary or during the 2004 election when it was originally shot. The video shows President Clinton in 2004 talking about one of what he calls Clinton’s Laws of Politics.

Check it out and tell me what you think.
